Orientation Program for New Faculty Members at UAP

 

Orientation program for newly recruited faculty members of UAP was held with a daylong program at its Department of Business Administration (DBA) new campus on June 20, 2014

Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury, VC UAP, Prof. Dr. M. R. Kabir, Pro VC, Ms. Tasneem Siraj Mahboob, Member, Board of Trustees (BOT), Dr. Md. Abdul Mazid, Registrar, Mr. A. S. M. Ashraful Huq, Director, Finance & Accounts addressed the occasion.

Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury said "teachers' responsibility is not only to impart knowledge to students but also to teach the techniques of learning knowledge". He advised the faculties to be conscious about punctuality and asked to start on time and finish on time.

Dr. Md. Abdul Mazid, Registrar UAP inaugurated the program in the morning and Nahida Sultana Chowdhury, lecturer of CSE department coordinated the program. Head of CSE department Aloke Kumar Saha, Assistant Professor of CSE Shaila Rahman were present.

Dr. M.R. Kabir stressed on quality education and its impact to the faculty members. He advised new faculties in giving effort in maintaining standard of higher education. Tasneem Siraj Mahboob said teachers have to motivate students in learning knowledge and shared her personal experience as a teacher.

Dr. Md. Abdul Mazid briefed about UAP rules and regulations while A. S. M. Ashraful Huq addressed about the issues related to finance and accounts. New faculties of 8 different departments participated the program from 9 am to 3.30 pm at UAP new campus in Green Road.
